Monstrum Sepsis
Monstrum Sepsis formed in late 1996 when founders, Paul Karlik and Rob Wentz, decided to leave their existing projects and join forces. Armed with amiga and pc tracker programs, the two set out to explore the many traditional and non-traditional means of creating electronic music. Monstrum Sepsis is not just another tech savvy artist; their focus is on creating a dynamic intensity with as much presence as possible by using minimal amounts of tech-hardware and equipment. The idea is to not use "presets," or rely on a piece of tech for sound. Each Monstrum Sepsis sound is created and manipulated on computers, sequenced, and then composed via midi keyboard and other toys and keyboards.
Since inception, the two have written hundreds of compositions covering a wide range of musical styles and influences. To date Monstrum Sepsis has released seven full-length albums, appeared on numerous compilations, and currently have works in several high profile video games (The Matrix Online, The Punisher, and Red Faction 1 & 2), Motion Pictures (The Matrix: Reloaded and Spiderman) and television programs (MTVs Made, Gothika: Cinemax on Set, VH1s Driven, and A&Es Christina Onassis Bio).
In the spring of 2005, Monstrum Sepsis will release their 8th full-length entitled Movement. "TomThumb" is the first track to see daylight from this release and provides the listener with a glimpse of what is on the horizon.
