Over It
Over It came together in Alexandria, VA, and they are all friends from the days before high school. They bring the awesome power of a united force propelling music as the truest emotion. Over It songs are punk renditions of the cycle of loss and gain. It is an aggressive sound with strong drums, fluid guitar, moving bass and the voice of youth. What they reflect are the experiences and dreams of every kid for their own life.
Over It became a band, and in 1999, while still in high school, released an EP, Over It, on Negative Progression Records. They toured that year performing from Maine to California. Their debut full-length album The Ready Series, was released on Negative Progression Records in the Summer of 2000 to garner excellent reviews and world wide interest. Over It supported this album with two full U.S. tours, during which the first core of their fan base developed.
Over It had unheard songs crying to be presented so they created new EP, Hindsight 20/20, released by Negative Progression Records in the Fall of 2001.
On their next support tour, Over It met Lobster Records, the label and band recognized themselves in each other. Over It signed with Lobster Records in December of 2001. Their new album, Timing Is Everything, debuted in September 2002, it is a master step up for the band. Here, for the first time, they display a sense of both large space and great detail in their music. The guitars are relentless, the vocals effortless, the drums intricate and the bass surrounding some of the most well written songs in modern rock.
Over It relocated in 2003 to Ventura, CA, where they will launch their plan to play for kids everywhere. Inspired by music, hard work and fans, for Over It this is only the beginning. Virginia, California, The World.
