Buffalo NY. A city better known for searing snow storms, extreme temperatures, unemployment, and less than stellar professional sports teams. Amongst the boarded up buildings, burned out cars, and abandoned houses, resides a glimmer of hope.
Music has always been a viable part of what Buffalo has to offer; whether it is the hardcore anthems brought forth by so many of the city’s musicians, the blues infused rock of long since laid off steel workers, or the pop punk battle cries of Buffalo’s suburban youth. But lurking beneath the surface there is something more sinister; heavy metal.
Herod is Buffalo’s new progenitor of metal. Blending classic British heavy metal, American thrash, and streetwise hardcore, this new Buffalo band will be the next to carry on the tradition brought forth by Buffalo’s great bands of yesterday.
