Les

"Les is more. He emotes raw power and delves into topics we can relate to, but has the ability to go deeper than we dare."
-Jason Baquilod (WRMN Radio)

Born from dedicated and unapologetic songwriting, Les' music is best described as "Loud, but not noisy epic alternative rock." Fed on an ironic diet of angst and hope this New York-based singer/songwriter borrows from the fullness and momentum shifts of Radiohead, the darkness and intrigue of Tool, the raw and driving guitars of the Pixies, and the passionate soul bearing of Nirvana. This concoction is a volatile mix that once consumed penetrates slowly and explodes violently when inside.

His self-released/self-produced album The View From Here is what Adam McKibbin calls in his Choice Cuts selections on Suite 101, "...a mature and well-executed debut from a promising singer/songwriter." The album features the songs, "The One That I," "In the End," and "Suddenly." Now armed with recording engineer Sham Sundra (Joan Osborne) and master engineer Fred Kevorkian (White Stripes, Dave Matthews), he has recorded new songs including the one appearing here, "Formation," a song about a wild drive where a couple questions why they stay together.

As press, radio play, and industry interest surge, the core of Les is found in the fearless and captivating shows that leave him in angst-driven tears and sweat while enveloping the audience, leaving them feeling haunted and hopeful. Jay Breitling from Splendid recommends, "...those moved by impassioned performances will probably feel a few hairs stand up on the backs of their necks."
