DC To Daylight

DC to Daylight, the phrase ham radio operators use to describe the range of frequencies from zero hertz to the frequency of daylight, is a moniker befitting of these indie rockers and their varied, yet coherent sound. The San Jose, CA band’s debut, Xmas Murder ’74, delivers pop songs laced with fat, overdriven guitars against a backdrop of bass, Rhodes piano and drums, providing seductive hooks and melodic interplay to leave you humming in the shower. Warren’s instantly recognizable vocals, and provocative lyrics (which he describes as "a detailed description of his blind spot" provide the common thread through their wide spectrum of sound. Covering a roller coaster of moods – from the angst driven "Like A Man", to the popp, teen and parent friendly, "My Way To Hell" – Xmas Murder ’74 will nag you for another listen, lost somewhere between reassurance and reprimand, wondering "What have I done?"

"And now," the announcer beckons between tracks, "for something that never raises any unpleasant controversy: Music for your listening pleasure… DC to Daylight."

mp3 Track: "Like a Man"
