Mi6

Mi6, an explosive four-piece punk rock band that hails from Lawrence, Kansas. Yeah! Kansas has punk rock too! Their catchy and infectious blend of hardcore and melodic punk mixed together with strong harmonies and high-energy performances gives this band a unique sound and flavor that almost anyone could enjoy.

At Kung Fu, if you don’t write amazing songs, you’re not on Kung Fu. Mi6’s demo was sitting in a large demo pile in our owner’s wife’s office when Joe came in and made fun of their promo photo. The last thing we needed was another great band, but we listened to it and sadly, it was amazing! Joe flew out to Lawrence, Kansas to see if they were for real and signed them immediately.

Produced by Paul Malinowski from the seminal math rock band Shiner and mixed at the Blasting Room, we call Mi6 our secret weapon. One spin and you are reminded of Kung Fu’s dedication to excellent song writing. Mi6’s song "Jabber Jaw" on the That Darn Punk soundtrack introduced them to the world and the feedback has been tremendous. The world is ready for their full-length debut. The rest will be Kung Fu history.
