Drag the River

Drag the River, in their peripatetic drinking, gigging, bar-hopping, jamming, joint-closing, touring, and drinking, often prompt the question "Where are they?!" And thus the scenic rivers of Northern Colorado are often dragged. Drag record at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins where there is a grease-board graph in the control room whereupon each bar in town is rated in a breakdown of all the varied and important considerations when one expects to wind up at the base of a barstool. This graph was the handi-work of Chad Price and Jon Snodgrass, the singers/pickers/writers of Drag the River. It’s true they have punk pedigree, but as this new album, Closed, makes plain, they are writers and singers first and have worked up a wide-ranging Country setting for a whole other set of tunes. Closed is a smooth Country mash with soooome kick.
