Armstrong

Armstrong is a power trio specializing in power pop. Two thirds of the members are no strangers to this genre, having played in Hagfish for its duration. Doni Blair plays bass, and his brother Zach does the guitar playing and the singing. On drums is Brad Roberts from Gwar. Their debut full-length, Dick,The Lion-Hearted &Mac226; combines the catchy pop-hooks Hagfish was known for with a harder,more visceral edge in the instrumentation. Continuing a producer/artist relationship that began with the recording of Hagfish’s Rocks Your Lame Ass, the new record was recorded and produced at the Blasting Room by Bill Stevenson & Stephen Egerton of ALL/Descendents. Having learned the value of touring from the incessant schedules of their other bands, Armstrong is engaged in a rigorous road schedule that began this summer with the full-fledged Owned & Operated Motor Memory Label Tour with ALL, and label mates Someday I and Wretch Like Me.
