Justin Sane
To many punk rockers, the name Justin Sane is synonymous with pacifistic political belief structures and punk rock riffing The elements that have defined the attitude and music of his band, Anti-Flag, for almost a decade.
On his debut solo CD, Life, Love and the Pursuit of Justice, Justin Sane takes us down a more personal road as he breaks away from Anti-Flags definitive punk sound. This CD features 12 tracks of contemporary urban folk, exploring more personal topics alongside political themes. His hometown of Pittsburgh is featured throughout his music in both spirit and musical vision.
Life, Love and the Pursuit of Justice showcases Justins skills as a diverse and strong songwriter. He continues to challenge and entice the listener through his poignant lyrics focusing on lifes everyday trials and tribulations. However, instead of using Anti-Flags trademark sonic punk attack, Justin is armed only with a guitar, his voice and, most importantly, his exceptional songwriting and lyrical talent.
Justin Sanes solo effort combines his punk rock sensibilities with a decidedly unique way of mixing his firm political beliefs within a less abrasive musical canvas. Life, Love and the Pursuit of Justice is ironic and cynical enough to please the most crass of punk rockers yet creative and introspective enough to appeal to all fans of indie music.
