Favez

Favez is a four member band from Lausanne, Switzerland, but you would never guess it. The singer, Chris Wicky, has an American mother, has spent every Summer in Hartford, CT, and has even lived in the US for while. So it’s next to impossible to believe when talking to him that he is really not American. "I dunno, I watched Fat Albert on TV when I came to the States as a kid, and I ate Cheerios, but then again, I can speak a bit of German [along with fluent English and French] and I

prefer Virgin Cola to Coke. Pepsi is out of the question, of course. Just say I’m Ameripean." Ok, so he’s Ameripean. Either way, as the singer and main songwriter of Favez, he’s definitely ready to be heard on both continents.

Favez has already toured throughout Europe, the States, and Canada. They’ve released some singles on their own and even recorded their first masterpiece A Sad Ride on the Line Again with a mobile studio in a church just to get the desired sound, and released it on their own label in Switzerland. You may even hear some bells that rang in the church during recording.

On the latest album From Lausanne, Switzerland, Favez go into the direction of louder rock anthems. Where the first album consisted solely of somber, almost depressing, quiet tunes, From Lausanne, Switzerland only retains a bit of that. With the help of producer John Agnello, Favez have crafted an album that retains their top notch songwriting while adding a big sound that suits Favez just fine.
