Ringworm

Cleveland’s most vile and destructive hardcore metal band, Ringworm, has joined forces with Victory Records to wreak havoc on the world. After leading the Cleveland metal scene for a good portion of this past decade Ringworm is ready to unleash their wrath on the rest of the world. Their Victory Records debut, Birth is Pain, will vanquish all doubters and skeptics of the sheer power of this band of Cleveland malcontents. If Charles Manson was into hardcore metal this would be his band.

Ringworm’s latest CD, Birth is Pain is truly an epic story of human struggle. The album tells the story of the most grueling human battle of all, internal conflict. The album puts forth the tale surrounding the struggle of man versus himself that has, throughout history, brought entire civilizations to their knees. Ringworm conquers that internal struggle, exorcises humanity’s demons and rises from the filth as the last hope for society.

Ringworm’s brooding guitar lines reach into the depths of your psyche and bring forth the evil that lives inside. The only thing you will have the strength to do is scream and wail as you are pummeled to the Earth’s surface by The Human Furnace’s agonizing, distressing and remarkably memorable vocals. The band’s unrelenting, thunderous songs bring back much of the brutality that has been missing in hard music in recent times.

Only a band as dedicated and driven as Ringworm could survive as long as they have. Ringworm is currently planning an all-encompassing European trek in the early spring of 2002. In addition, the band will undertake massive US touring in the near future.
