Five Horse Johnson

Back in 1995, after two weeks of relentless woodshedding, Five Horse Johnson was sharing the stage with the likes of Big Jack Johnson, War, Dick Dale, Raging Slab, Thornetta Davis, Southern Culture On The Skids, Big Sugar, Hubert Sumlin, Junior Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside, and more recently with Nebula, Robin Trower, Atomic Bitchwax, Bad Company, Cheap Trick, Johnny Winter, Iggy Pop, Jesus Lizard, Queens Of The Stone Age, Nashville Pussy, Monster Magnet, Alabama Thunderpussy, and so on. In short, Five Horse Johnson has become one the most talked about acts among everyone from the NYC hipsters to the tattooed boogie rockers down in Austin. Their live show is a runaway freight train, period.

With three CD's, well over 600+ shows, including a sold out European club tour this past Winter, Five Horse Johnson puts forth their fourth and strongest recording to date with "The No. 6 Dance." Keeping with their raw acid-blues foundation, FHJ expands their sound even further into the swampy feel of early Aerosmith, ZZ Top, The Black Crowes, and even a little Captain Beefheart No, none of that "Yo! G Metal" on this slab (eat your heart out Durst), just straight up AMERICAN ROCK out of the heartland with tons of guitar, groove and grind...The way great records use to be made. Well, the rest is up to you...it is time for the real deal and their name is Five Horse Johnson.
