Behind the Scenes

Founded in 1993 by Fred Buntig (former Merry Thoughts bass player) and Michael Roeder (A Spell Inside), Behind the Scenes have created an outstanding original mix of electronics, guitars and basses. Classic songwriting has become the most dominant part of the new act.

The first album by Behind the Scenes entered directly into the German alternative charts from 0 to 19, followed by numerous compilation appearances (eg. Zillo Mystic Sound-Sampler) and a variety of press and radio interviews.

In 1994, the band first appeared in public. Performing with bands such as Tilt!, Garden of Delight, The Merry Thoughts, or And One, BTS soon counted members of the other bands as fans. One of the main highlights in the bands live history was the appearance of Behind the Scenes on the 1999 Zillo Festival in front of more then 8000 visitors.
