Tasting The Tears (Scarlet Records)
release date: 2/17/2014
by Mike Delano

Intriguing, moody power metal from Italy. Incredibly (for this genre), the singer doesn't overplay it, so the recitation of the song title doesn't sound like whining nor like he's trying to pierce the heavens like the second coming of Tim Owens. Instead, "Alone Again" is impressively constructed from beginning to end, with a catchy chorus, a unique arrangement, and even a tasteful guitar solo for an outro. A nice surprise, and it sounds every inch the polished product of guys who have been paying their dues in the scene for 20+ years.

This is not a review, really, just a lil preview blurb. See more previews here.
