Paramore | review | punk | Lollipop

(Fueled By Ramen)
release date: 4/9/2013
by Mike Delano

I've got a huge soft spot for Paramore's unfailingly earnest and polished punk pop, and especially the incredible vocals of Hayley Williams. Not that it's a pleasure to feel particularly guilty about, this is good stuff that hasn't really changed as the band has grown in popularity, it's just that the hate crew gets louder as time goes on. "Now" is the great first single from the band's upcoming self-titled record, and their first since the high-profile departure of two founding members. The video for this song depicts a war that is resolved via hugs, so I can't be the only one would like to see Williams take over as DARPA chief as soon as this album's tour cycle concludes.

This is not a review, really, just a lil preview blurb. See more previews here.
