Beyond the Shore

Ghostwatcher (Metal Blade Records)
release date: 4/2/2013
by Mike Delano

As seems to be a theme with most modern-day deathcore/metalcore bands, it's the kitchen-sink approach that Beyond the Shore favors. "Half Lived" clocks in at under three minutes, but those minutes are stuffed to the breaking point with Fear Factory-style robo-riffs, soaring clean vocals, distorted growls, soulful guitar solos, and vicious breakdowns. It's enough to make your head explode. Something tells me these dudes text and drive.
