Satan's Wrath

Aeons of Satan's Reign (Metal Blade Records)
release date: 11/19/2013
by Mike Delano

These dudes from Greece may have the black metal Satanist thing down cold ("666" appears twice in their -- truly evil -- Facebook address), but the sound of Satan's Wrath is actually much closer to traditional heavy metal than it is to the storms of the antichrist that Watain or others kick up. Which is all well and good, because it sounds like they're having a pretty great time not taking things too deadly serious on "Die White Witch Die," with its galloping, Maiden-like guitars, and endearingly theatric demonic vocals.
