Paradise Lost

Tragic Illusion 25 (The Rarities) (Century Media Records)
release date: 11/5/2013
by Mike Delano

These doom legends have been on a Kreator-like career resurgence since 2009's excellent Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us, culminating with strong sales of last year's similarly fine Tragic Idol. So I guess someone decided it was time to shake out an album's worth of b-sides and rarities. These type of collections are always aimed squarely at the dedicated fan, and this one even more so, leaning heavily on recently unreleased material, remixes, and re-recordings. "Loneliness Remains" is the sole new recording on the album.

This is not a review, really, just a lil preview blurb. See more previews here.
