Moonspell

Night Eternal (SPV)
by Scott Hefflon

Less brooding and more roar this time around, but still plenty of mid-tempo chug for the rest of you. Fernando tends to croon for an album or two, then shed the frilly shirt for battle armor and roar his balls off. Which is good. Portugal's finest return with keyboard and angelic harmony-laced Gothic trudge offset by "my demon can beat up your god" rampages. Grip Inc.'s Waldemar Sorychta returns to the producer's chair, and the result, as expected, will thrill you, haunt you, and make your lover gasp "where did THAT energy come from?"
