Love Me Destroyer

The Things Around Us Burn (Suburban Home)
by Scott Hefflon

Great band name, second release (I think) of a band featuring members of BYO's now-defunct Pinhead Circus, who I always confused with Pinhead Gunpowder, who I liked a lot more. First release was followed by tours with Planes Mistaken for Stars and A Wilhelm Scream, and this outing was recorded by a guy who used to be in Fear Before the March of Flames. Them references will probably getcha close enough. They're all also-rans to me, because I delve deep and always have, as styles come and go and are combined and called "new" even though they're not. This ain't my thing, but when the singer actually hits the notes, he sounds honest, and the driving tunes are solid, if not stellar.

This is not a review, really, just a lil preview blurb. See more previews here.
