Mercury Switch

Time to Shine (Indianola)
by Scott Hefflon

Mercury Switch are a perfect example of a hardcore band who almost instantly grew tired of ONLY howling and thundering and doing breakdowns so the kids could scissorkick and jump around on the weekends. Sure, there's still plenty to slam into your friends to, and to gather around the mic and shout, looking all homoerotic, like gay boys trying to get at the monster cock, but there's not just "clean singing" here, there's full-on anthem rock, funk beats, falsetto screams, keyboards, and glam rock swagger. The purists will hate it, but they have 1000s of interchangeable bands to like.
