Video Archive For The Ages

Vol. II (AMP/MVD)
by Stevo

"Video Archive for the Ages" is a pretty lofty title for this series. This is the second volume from AMP Magazine, and it's more along the lines of an incohesive scattershot of videos from various punk, indie, hardcore, and metal bands than it is an archive to be cherished for all time. I'm sure the title was tongue in cheek, and thankfully, this thing has a low retail price of $7.95 so you won't feel too burned for picking this up for the one or two bands you care about. The majority of videos aren't terribly impressive. The real stand-outs for me were The Bronx and Henry Fiats Open Sore. Normally, I try to flesh out reviews, but there isn't much else to say. There're no extras, and unless you work in a record store or some place else that loops videos, you probably won't watch this more than once. Bands: All That Remains, Avail, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Casualties, Cataract, Engine Down, The Fight, God Forbid, Horrorpops, The Lot Six, Most Precious Blood, 100 Demons, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Remembering Never, Rufio, Strike Anywhere, Strung Out, The Soviettes, and The Unseen.
