First Wildhearts rec I've heard since the first, 11 years ago. This thing is a kinda intro/greatest tunes thing cobbled together for U.S. consumption. Power pop melodies, rocker chomp, Mod flair, classic rock and roll tunes, perfectly-placed hooks, and unexpected heft. I'd imagine they were tots raised on Cheap Trick, Kiss, Sweet, and The Damned. I wish that "TV Tan" from that first rec was on here, but I wasn't bright enough to run a successful record company and sign'm, so I don't get to pick. Put'm on tour with Boss Martians and it'll sell out all over the damn place. Don't be a chimp, get this.
