Nineteen Forty-Five

I Saw A Bright Light (Daemon)
by Tim Den

Don't bother telling Nineteen Forty-Five about The Pixies reunion, cuz they probably never got wind of the break up in the first place. I Saw a Bright Light is basically "Where is My Mind?" expanded into an album, replete with male/female singing/shouting, dirty early-'90s guitar distortion, and slacker beats that're somehow more endearing than sloppy. Original? Far from it. Potent enough to remind you of high school? Yup.
