Copeland

Beneath Medicine Tree (The Militia Group)
by Lauren Bussard

Even though I know Copeland is made up of four guys, I could swear that it's really just an emotionally-fueled one-man act a la Ben Folds. Driven by intense piano rock, fuzzy guitars, and dreamy vocals, Beneath Medicine Tree is definitely a pretty album, but clearly only for those moods when all you really want to do is listen to sad music designed solely to make you feel worse... and worse... until... oh god, I can't type anymore, the pain has overtaken me...
