Raised Fist

Dedication (Epitaph)
by Adrian Bromley

Who would've thought Sweden's Raised Fist could've topped their phenomenal Ignoring the Guidelines album from 2000? But they just did. The band returns with one of the strongest hardcore releases out there. Dedication is a walloping dose of hardcore heaviness, much tighter and in sync than any of the band's previous releases. Choice cuts are "Get This Right" and "Killing Revenues." Credit goes to the band for not copying the successful formula of their previous album (the Slayer-like riffs that made Ignoring the Guidelines so intense), rather the band when out of their way to tighten things up and focus on a crunchier and more aggressive sound. Mission accomplished.
