Demon Hunter

Hunter (Solid State)
by Adrian Bromley

From the ashes of the Christian band Training for Utopia comes Demon Hunter, an explosive band that could bowl over an 18-wheeler. Full of heavy-set guitar riffs and massive vocal cries, Demon Hunter are one of those new breed of bands that has a lot going for them, but there is always a flaw... The flaw comes from the band's (occasional) similarity to Slipknot. When the band steamrolls through an intense number and then switches to clean vocals, the Slipknot comparisons are warranted. Other than that, Demon Hunter's self-titled debut is a hearty debut of aggression to crank up and mosh to.
