No One

No One (Immortal/Virgin)
by Scott Hefflon

Signed to the label responsible for bringing us Korn and Incubus, for better or worse, No One is from Chicago, combines rapcore groove and the stuttering riffs and roar/speaking styles that are so common, and shouts some pretty traditional rebel slogans, but they distinguish themselves ever so slightly by tossing in a psychedelic acoustic desert stroll that'll make real Sabbath fans reach for their vinyl and - while Mark's voice isn't astounding - some pleasant, passionate melodies that soar and make your chest swell.
