Foundation

Foundation (Fueled By Ramen)
by Scott Hefflon

Robbie Huddleston of Richmond, VA's Ann Beretta took it upon himself to take another crack at the acoustic thing, seeing as his band's attempt didn't live up to his satisfaction. The songs of Foundation touch upon both American roots music and radio pop (I can't shake the feeling of the Goo Goo Dolls emoting so sincerely that "I Just Want You to Know Who I Am" song that I rather like, but feel manipulated by like a Robin Williams tear-jerker afterwards), but moments of purity shine through. Fans of the band will definitely enjoy a closer look at this honest songwriter.
