Chemlab

Suture (Invisible)
by Scott Hefflon

Funny, I was just telling a friend that I really wished someone'd take the few songs I like by Chemlab (the first rec, Burnout at the Hydrogen Bar and little else) and release a bunch of remixes that are all arty and utterly useless compared to the pretty interesting first shot from a band that, like Machines of Loving Grace, peaked before The Crow became a franchise like Back to the Future and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Evidently, this CD also captures most of a "much sought after (but impossible to find)" EP, Ten Ton Pressure, and, to not be a dick for a moment, that's all that really matters here, aside from an only mildly tweaked "Codeine, Glue and You," which is by far my favorite song from them. So the three EP tracks are old school industrial, and worth a few spins, and for those into remixes of the band's more popular/less interesting material, there're plenty of takes on a few of them here.
